The Beijing Protestant Church

| The Beijing Protestant Church | | www.china.org.cn 2007-08-29 | | | | The Beijing Protestant Church is located at 181 Dongdanbei Street, at the former headquarters of the YMCCA set up by the American Protestant Church in1925. The two-story church, built in traditional Western style, was first known as the Bible Society.
In 1958, more than 60 Protestant denominations were represented in Beijing. In that year, following a series of consultative conferences, four churches were selected to serve as centers for Protestant worship: in the western quarter at Zhushikou; in the northern quarter at Kuanjie; in the eastern quarter at Dongdanbei Street. |
